How to block or allow specific apps

Always-allow or always-block Android apps from the Parent app App Control screen or Web Center Apps → Set Rules.

Android only. Configure from the orange Parent app or Web Center — not by signing into the blue app as a parent.

Parent app

Open the child's profile.
Open App Control (apps card on the dashboard).
Find the app, or use the always-allowed / always-blocked lists and tap +.
Always blocked (blacklist): the app cannot open, schedules do not matter.
Always allowed (whitelist): schedules and time limits do not apply, and use does not count toward screen-time totals.

New apps may sit in review until you approve them in notifications. An app is blocked.

Log in → select the profile.
Apps tab → Set Rules.
Open the app and toggle its rule.
Red outline = always blocked. Green = always allowed. Age category at profile setup also pre-blocks apps above that age.

Default: we block other browsers (use Safe Lagoon's filter) and apps above the profile age.
