On Android, your child surfs the web using our Safe Lagoon app which is a safe browser for protection and reporting.

On iOS, we use VPN technology to filter and manage the internet time that your child spends on Safari.

But regardless of the device used you will probably want to set a limit on the amount of time they spend online.

Safe Lagoon provides you with a couple of ways to easily set up time limits for Internet access for your children.

Using the Android Parental app

Step 1. open the Screen Time section
Step 2. Select "Set Schedules & Screen Time"
Step 3. Tap the + in the lower right corner and select "Create Screen Time Rule"

Step 4. select the Internet category
Step 5. select the days you want the time limit applied to
Step 6. set the amount of time you want to allow
Step 7. name the time limit
Step 8. press Save

If you are setting up for an iOS device, you will not have the option for setting limits for categories or individual apps - only for overall screen time.

Using the Safe Lagoon Safe Center

Step 1. Log into your Safe Center
Step 2. Open the Schedules tab
Step 3. Select "Create a new time limit"

For Android :
a) select the Internet category
b) select the days you want the time limit applied to
c) move the slider to set the amount of time you want to allow
d)  name the time limit
e) press Save

For iOS:
a) name the time limit
b) select the days you want the time limit applied to
c)  move the slider to set the amount of time you want to allow
d) press Save

Pro Tip:

You can also open Safe Lagoon parental mode directly from your child’s device to set a limit (instructions on how to do that are here)
